LOCKED is closing its Randers location after 6 years and more than 50,000 visitors

After six years in Randers and more than 50,000 visitors, LOCKED has decided to close its Escape Room location in Randers. The last day of operation will be May 11, 2026.

A lack of exterior maintenance puts a stop to new investments.

“Randers holds a very special place in our hearts. The building has a truly unique atmosphere, and we’ve created some escape rooms we’re incredibly proud of. But we’ve reached a point where we must either choose to renovate our escape room and invest further in the premises—or make the difficult decision to close the Randers location. For several years, we have brought to the landlord’s attention that we believe the building requires more exterior maintenance (especially on the rear courtyard side), and unfortunately, not enough progress has been made for us to feel confident about investing further in the premises. “That is why we have unfortunately decided to close the branch and instead focus on our other branches in Aarhus and Aalborg, among other places,” says Martin Høeg, CEO of LOCKED.

LOCKED took over the lease in 2019 and has since enjoyed strong support from Randers and the surrounding area.

“We’ve had great support in Randers and have provided a wonderful experience for over 50,000 guests in total. We are very grateful for the support we have received over the years, but as I said, we have decided not to invest further in the premises since we do not believe that the exterior maintenance is sufficient to maintain the level of service we want to offer our guests,” says Martin Høeg.

The facility will remain open until May 11, 2026, when guests will still be able to enjoy the popular escape rooms in the iconic building.
